Coal’s share of power generation: from 79.7% to 61.3% in four years
In the national power system, coal (hard coal and lignite) produced 79.7% of electricity in 2021 and 61.3% in 2025, according to the grid operator PSE. Wind and other renewables more than doubled, from 19.0 to 42.7 TWh. On 10 July 2026, Baltic Power, Poland’s first offshore wind farm, sent its first electricity to the grid.

Wind and other renewables more than doubled, from 19.0 to 42.7 TWh. On 10 July 2026, Baltic Power, Poland’s first offshore wind farm, sent its first electricity to the grid.
€58.4 billion of agri-food exports
In 2025 Polish agri-food exports reached €58.4 billion, with a €19.8 billion surplus. About a quarter of export value went outside the EU.
